Gilad_Schwartz_zl

We wanted you to be aware that one of Gilad's close friends, Adam Neuman, along with Gilad's cousin, Dara Marans, arranged a Shiur by Rabbi JJ Schacter in Memory of Gilad Schwartz tomorrow, Tuesday 3/22 at 7:30 pm at Yeshiva University in NY. There is a suggested $5 donation for students.

All monies raised will be directed towards a a Song and Dance Studio at Camp Stone and will also endow an annual scholarship in Gilad's name to enable needy children to attend camp. For those of you who are interested in making a donation please visit www.campstone.org/gilad

Camp Stone in Pennsylvania is the place that Gilad felt most whole. As a camper, Gilad spent all year longing for the return to camp each summer. Then, as a staff member, when he was already sick, Camp Stone became a respite, an escape, a sanctuary to be a normal kid. To capture Gilad's brilliant spirit and his love of music, a new Song and Dance Pavilion is being built at Camp Stone; a place where thousands of children for decades to come will gather to do what Gilad yearned for---to simply enjoy life.

In addition, in order to further preserve our cherished memories of Gilad, an endowed scholarship fund is being established to fund families in financial need. Each summer, the children who are the beneficiaries, together with their parents, will have the opportunity to learn who Gilad was, thereby insuring that Gilad’s legacy will remain alive.

The fundraising goal for this endeavor is $50,000. Please visit the Camp Stone web site at www.campstone.org/gilad in order to donate to this cause. If you prefer, checks may be made out to Camp Stone with Gilad in the memo line and mailed to 2463 S. Green Road, Cleveland, OH 44122.

With profound thanks in advance for your contribution to Gilad’s legacy, and with hope that Gilad will forever inspire us to live life with passion and a song in our hearts.

Thank you all for helping to perpetuate Gilad's memory in this meaningful way. Tizku l'mitzvot!

For those unable to attend tomorrow, a live video broadcast will be available during the shiur - www.YUTorah.org/live
