Late Night Seder in Penn (NSP)
Aaron Senior applied to CTL for assistance extending the hours of learning of Night Seder at Penn. We are delighted to support this valuable initiative. Read Aaron’s report about the successes and development of the program:
Only in its second year, the Night Seder at Penn has reached amazing achievements. Every night from 9:00-11:00 PM and on Monday and Wednesdays from 9:00-12:00, NSP has provided both the environment and the programming for many students to learn Torah during the week. In addition to student-given Tuesday night Mussar, we have had the privilege of hosting several chaburot by Philadelphia community members as part of our series called Local Torah Figures. Additionally, NSP has fostered a lively atmosphere for students to set up chavrutas and learn everything from gemara to Jewish philosophy to halacha. Over the past semester, NSP has grown from a handful of students to a significant amount of devoted learners. All this success would not have been possible without CTL. Due to their help, we can keep the Beit Midrash open for an extra hour twice a week and provide even more students with the opportunity to learn at night. We are looking forward to experiencing even more growth in the coming years and we thank CTL for their strong support of such an amazing cause.
